Fish Creek Cabin Resort has a video posted on our Facebook page of the East Branch of Fish Creek roaring on December 6, 2012.
Click here to watch the video. The East Branch of Fish Creek was flowing at ~1400 cfs! White water kayakers are known to rundown rivers that are over 900 cfs. Click here to check the E. Branch of Fish Creek gauge on the American Whitewater website.
The day before I took the pictures above, Tim saw white water kayakers running down the East Branch of Fish Creek right past our resort! Tim snapped the following pictures within seconds as they played in the rapids running along our resort and under the Main St. bridge. They are featured in the slideshow below, check it out! (We received permission to use the following images from the kayakers photographed).
- Looking up stream from the lower trail, you can see a white water kayaker in the distance!
- White water kayaker on the East Branch of Fish Creek right next to our resort! (12/5/12)
- White water kayakers playing in the rapids under the Main St. bridge (12/5/12)

If you are a white- water kayaker that runs the East Branch of Fish Creek when its high, keep Fish Creek Cabin Resort in mind when you need a place to get cozy and warm after a day full of rapids! If you are ever in the area, give us a ring to see if we have any cabins available (315) 749-8912
It’s going to be end of mine day, except before ending I am reading this wonderful piece of writing to improve my knowledge.
Thanks for the very nice compliment Katia!
